My Jewel (Ch. La Femme Nikita) came to me as a little bundle of fur and a mind of her own. She loved the tennis ball more than food and soon learned to rule my household. She loved agility and in the show ring she thought there was no other as beautiful as she. At 3, Jewel was bred to Simon, Dana’s male and had 3 boys. Their son Dakota is being shown and is doing very well in the show ring.
Lilly did well in the show ring including making the cut every time we attended a National show. In 2006, since Jewel was now 6, I wanted to breed her one more time and with Dana’s help Jewel had a litter of 8, 5 boys and 3 girls. Jagger, my boy and Madison, Dana’s girl who resides with Susan Forbes, are both doing very well in the show ring. Madison is also a Fly Ball fanatic!
About 4 years after Jewel entered my life, I was seeking another Tervuren. Dennette Cockley, Jewel’s handler, put me in touch with Lynn Brandenburg of Tervuren de l’Aurore. Lynn was also an avid promoter of our dear Tervs. She has
been showing for over 30 years in all aspects of competition including UKC events. She travels to Europe often visiting Belgian kennels and developing relationships both here and abroad. It was from Lynn that I received my Lilly (Daylily de l’Aurore ).
